SUN Bucks – A New Summer Food Program for Kids

St. Helena Unified families may be eligible for SUN Bucks (Summer EBT), a new federally funded program that helps families buy food for their children during the summer when school meals are not available. Eligible families will receive $120 in food benefits per child.
Most children will automatically qualify if they:

  • Are 6 to 18 years old and receive CalFresh, CalWORKs, or income-based Medi-Cal.
  • Are 0 to 22 years old, attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch or Breakfast Program, and are approved for free or reduced-price meals through a school meal application or Alternative Income Form.
Some families may need to fill out a form to see if they qualify. If you’re unsure whether your child qualifies or need help completing a form, please contact:
