St. Helena Unified School District is committed to offering families choices that provide the best educational fit for their children.  To be eligible for an interdistrict transfer, students must demonstrate satisfactory attendance, behavior, and academic effort/progress toward graduation.

The initial application cycle will open on Friday, January 2, 2026, and completed packets are due by Thursday, February 12, 2026.

• Students who demonstrate satisfactory academic effort, behavior/citizenship, and attendance will be considered for transfers based on space availability at the desired school.
• If your child will be new to SHUSD during the 2026/2027 school year, additional eligibility information must be submitted.
• Transportation is not provided for any student approved for Interdistrict Transfer.
• Parents/guardians will be notified of the transfer decision by March 2, 2026, either via email or mail, using the contact information provided on the application.  TK families will be notified by May 1, 2026.
• Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment in the requested school.
• A separate transfer request must be submitted for each student individually.
