Pool Update February  25, 2023

After clearing a significant amount of debris from the pool's plumbing the aquatic complex has returned to service. 

The pool water is balanced and heated. Current activities:

• Masters Swimming operated by WANV
  Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 5:45 A.M. to 6:45 A.M.
• WAVES Napa Valley age-group swimming operated by WANV
  5:15 P.M. to 6:45 P.M.
• SHHS Swim Team
  Monday - Friday from 3:30  P.M. to 5:15 P.M.

Pool Update October 17, 2022

The pool water is now balanced and heated. The official re-opening date is Saturday October 22, 2022. The pool will be open from 11am to 3pm. An on-going schedule will be posted as appropriate lifeguard staffing is secured.    

Pool Update October 6, 2022  

The circulator pump for the pool has been installed and the water is now filtering through the system. The process for balancing and cleaning the pool will take a few days to complete. Once the pool reaches an optimal swimming temperature, we will do a final water balance and chemical check and then we will schedule an opening day for the community.  

Pool Update September 29, 2022

The pool circulater pump was repaired and rebuilt on Tuesday September 27, 2022, but the motor had a faceplate fitting issue and could not be properly installed. The proper fitting was procured and the motor will be installed on Tuesday October 5, 2022. Once the pump and all other mechanical equipment are fully operational, staff will begin balancing the water chemistry to normal conditions. This process may take up to 5 days to complete. Once the water is fully treated and balanced, a re-opening of the pool will be announced.     

Pool Update September 23, 2022  

The new motor for the circulation pump will be installed on Tuesday September 27, 2022. Once the pump and all other mechanical equipment are fully operational, staff will begin balancing the water chemistry to normal conditions. This process may take up to 5 days to complete. Once the water is fully treated and balanced, a re-opening of the pool will be announced.   

Pool Update September 1, 2022

Equipment failures caused the pool to be closed as of June 24, 2022. The staff have been maintaining the water, which turned green (natural occurrence) due to reduced chemicals and the rain that occurred. Following is an estimated timeline of repairs/re-opening, pending any changes to the vendor's schedule: -New parts/motor delivered, assembled, installed and tested by September 20, 2022 -Full system testing of new/existing equipment, water tested/ balanced, compliance checks completed and pool re-opened by September 27, 2022.
